I am so grateful we finally got to take family pictures!!!
It took us only 13 months to take some;)
We had no idea where to take some since Arizona is brand new to us. Luckily we have some awesome work friends that were kind enough to share this location. It ended up being so beautiful and we knew this must have been a 'gold at the end of the rainbow' spot since people were leaving as we arrived, there were tons while we were there and even a couple more finishing as we were leaving.
We finally got desperate enough to get the crazy notion that we were going to take the toddler out, put the camera on self timer and pray we got 1 or 2 good pictures.
Fortunately we didn't have to put ourselves through that! I have a cute friend who we adore and in all reality has been my safety net since our big move who also wanted pictures so we went out and took each others! (She also happens to be a cute blogger and you can see how her cute pics turned out here)
