The best of the best...puppies, babies, friends, weddings, camping and fireworks!

There are so many amazing times this summer that makes me sit back and think that is what we live for...

The first that I would like to introduce you to, is our new family member Koa!
(pronounced kind of like co-uh, we like to call him coca-koa:)
He became a possibility when we got the house and we searched for months to find our dream dog and came across some beautiful husky/lab mixes that we fell in love with. He had some beautiful brothers and sisters, a great mom and dad, and a good starting family so it just seemed perfect! He was ready to go at about 6 1/2 weeks so we picked him up just in time for Josh's fathers day present.
He is so smart and attentive with ALOT of energy but that is why we got a husky. He can already sit, lay down and come by command and will wait for his food just by the command "Wait." He is already 10 weeks and is getting bigger everyday! He is already good at walks and is starting to be my running buddy and a really good study buddy.
He is pretty shy and sticks right by us and our family members but is starting to break out of his shell as we socialize him, he makes us laugh and we enjoy every minute we have had him.

Next moment that took my breath away was meeting Baby AB (as we call her). Peter and Jenae have been incredible friends to us and we really look up to them, although we have known them a little less than a year, we really consider them one of our greatest friends. They really are the most incredible couple so naturally they brought a pretty incredible and might I say beautiful baby girl into the world. When we visited them in the hospital we could feel how new and fragile she was and how close she was to heavenly father and it brought tears to my eyes, as embarrassing as it was to cry over someone else's baby I just couldn't help it! (I would post pictures but I am not sure how they would feel about that:)

Another moment that I just couldn't get enough of was Ellies wedding!Beautiful Ellie has been and incredible friend to me and although we don't see each other enough it just proves real friends can be apart for months or even years and pick up right were we left off the moment we are together again.
I was so excited for her and her wedding was so beautiful plus she was GORGEOUS as always...
                                                             CONGRATS ELLE AND TAY!

Another good excuse to go to receptions is to see old friends... we all know how much I love JO but 2 people you may have not met (pic on the right) is Becca and Heather. These two girls are incredible! and by incredible I mean incredible in every way and everything they do! I am no going to lie I wish to be half the women they are already when I grow up! Love you girls!

On another note....Being in nature humbles you a bit, you realize what really matters to you and how much you really could live without. Our first trip this summer Josh's dad, Joe, took us back packing which unfortunately was the first time I have ever experienced hiking everything we were going to use in and out of the mountain. The hike wasn't too bad and the weather was great there were just TONS and TONS of mosquitoes! Fortunately we had a lot of bug spray and mosquito repellent incense. I really had a blast drinking and purifying my own water from the little creek by camp and making dinners by the fire, I also learned how to create a one match fire, which may or may not be as successful as I planned and eating pancakes and steak off of a rock shaped like a plate.
Our second trip was to the Yuba lake for a big family reunion. My dad's side has 7 kids with spouses and 40 grand kids and most had made the trip at one point of the week so it was a mad house but a really fun mad house. I just soak up these moments when everyone is here but I feel bad because with 60+ plus people and only 12 hours I don't get to really enjoy all of the amazing people one-on-one, but I love every single one of them. We were able to laugh and dance and then tone it down for an awesome spiritual trip to the Manti temple.

this I my cute cousin Gracie telling us what Gollum from Lord of the Rings says. She is just so stinking cute!!!

Lastly fireworks always are fun especially that was pretty much all Josh and I did when we were dating so its a fun memory "sparker" for us so naturally 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! I love the festivities and I love traditions! This year we ran the freedom 5k in provo and that race is always so much fun! I love doing it with my mom and this year Josh and Koa came to cheer us on!
Later we got to go to stadium of fire! When I heard Kelly Clarkson was coming I begged Josh for weeks to let us go! I used to dance in stadium of fire every year that I could and I knew how much fun it was and I knew Kelly was going to be amazing....and she didn't let me down! This years program was so awesome! and the fireworks were, of course, incredible! There were even ones I had never seen before!

We were being goofballs until the show started....sometimes you just get bored :)

 Happy Birthday America!
